The Cleaning Show 2015: Activity increases with just six months to go

With just six months to go until The Cleaning Show opens its doors, the organisers have revealed that virtually all stand space has been reserved, with new companies signing up and existing exhibitors extending their space allocation. Additional space is currently being negotiated.

Vax Commercial and Selden Research have both significantly increased their stand sizes in the last 30 days, and a number of key industry suppliers and manufacturers – including those from the floor machines sector – have recently reserved space.

“We’re delighted that sales activity continues to increase, as the message about our plans for the Cleaning Show continues to spread,” says Steve Diprose, VP at Quartz Business Media. “Our plans for the move to London are bearing fruit, and this is creating a lot of interest amongst exhibitors and visitors alike.”

The Cleaning Show 2015 takes place from 10th – 12th March 2015 at London’s ExCel Exhibition Centre.

In addition to heightened activity in the sales office, other plans have also started to take shape. Both the British Cleaning Council and Mitie will be organising seminars – more soon – and the popular Cleaning Show Innovation Awards are also receiving a revamp for 2015.

“The criteria for entry has been simplified for 2015, encouraging more companies to get involved across more clearly defined category groups,” says Neil Nixon, organiser of the Innovation Awards. “I will soon be inviting an experienced group of cleaning industry experts to join the judging panel, ensuring a fair and professional contest.”

Another recent announcement is the British Cleaning Council’s Rebate Scheme. Doug Cooke, chairman of the BCC, explains: “The BCC is looking to its membership to actively promote the Cleaning Show to ensure the success of not only the 2015 event but events long into the future. The BCC recognises that monies it gains from the show should be ploughed back into its membership for the benefit of the industry, but up until now these funds have only been available through a grant system. As the bulk of the BCC funds come from The Cleaning Show, the BCC Council has deemed it appropriate to rebate back to its membership 5% of the stand space revenue in accordance with certain simple qualifying rules. Please email the BCC Secretariat –info@britishcleaningcouncil.org – for details.”

Steve Diprose continues: “The companies that have recently signed up demonstrate that the Cleaning Show at London’s ExCel will be the ‘event’ that this industry deserves. Attendees will witness the transformation of an ordinary industry exhibition into an exciting industry-focused networking event. We already have details of additional attractions to run alongside the show, including a number of social events making the most of London’s appeal, a World Window Cleaning Challenge – and that’s just the beginning.

“Details of Mitie’s sponsorship activities are starting to emerge, and have already had a very positive impact in ensuring the show’s visitor profile is enhanced, attracting attendance from contract cleaning businesses, FM companies and property owners in greater numbers than at any previous Cleaning Show.”
